One Stitch at a Time – Growth from Tailor to Retailer

A gifted seamstress Ms. S. Vijaya Lechamee sews garments for her living. Working out of her home, she undertakes alterations, sari blouse sewing and much more based on her customers’ requirements. With the support of AACF Ms. S. Vijaya Lechamee has expanded her operations beyond customer orders and now sews clothes and provides them to a local retailer for retail sale. She hopes to one day purchase more machines and have other seamstresses working under her and eventually open her own retail shop.
